Wind power offers a generation profile that is distinct from solar, with stronger output during evening and nighttime hours in many locations, and across different seasons. For facilities with high or round-the-clock power consumption, a combination of solar and wind power can deliver more consistent renewable energy coverage than solar alone.
Like solar, wind power is supplied under a fixed-price Power Purchase Agreement, giving you predictable electricity costs over the tenure of the agreement, with zero capital investment required.
Wind power in Tamil Nadu is available under two structures, open access and group captive, depending on your consumption profile and commercial objectives.
Two ways to buy wind power
Open Access Wind
The straightforward path. You sign a PPA with PPS Enviro Power Pvt Ltd, our Tamil Nadu wind energy subsidiary, and receive wind power at a fixed tariff below your current DISCOM rate. No equity stake, no ownership, no complexity beyond the PPA itself.

The higher-saving structure. You hold a defined equity stake in the generating entity, making you eligible for exemption from Cross Subsidy Surcharge and Additional Surcharge, resulting in a significantly lower landed cost compared to standard open access wind. The group captive structure for wind follows the same framework as solar, with the equity stake held in PPS Enviro Power Pvt Ltd as the generating entity.
